Hi Nick, fellow Team Traniac member here. Please ignore if someone else has mentioned this already. If you were not already planning on doing so, I'd highly recommend putting a brand new set of tires on your bike the week of your ironman. I'd also suggest getting in at least one short ride on those tires, outside!, before the race just to make sure they are settled correctly in your wheels. The reason is because of your indoor trainer, rubber against metal and then rubber against pavement on the same tire is a recipe for disaster. The back and forth usually creates these small blisters where the rubber gets thin and will cause your tube to burst through or a very bumpy warped tire. Ending in tragedy unless you plan on carrying a spare tire as well as tubes with you during the race. Since your front tire never comes in contact with your trainer, keep it as a back up and carry it your tri bag. Good luck, love your videos, will be tracking you through this whole process!

The runner's high is when you are running and forget you're running and your mind wanders, then you look at your watch and realize 7 miles have gone by – so you have definitely experienced it.

Also your bike fitter did a really good job if you are comfortable on the bike for that long!

Great wrap up. Been watching all the videos and you’ve learned much. Glad your working with Taren. Smart guy. 12 hours or less… very possible with the volume of training your doing. I personally like a sleeveless tri top. A little cooler and less restrictive especially if your going to wear it under the wetsuit. Plenty of food on the bike and run course. Yes, fuel on the bike. Gatorade Endurance is much stronger than the one you drink. During a race, I’ll alternate drinking Gatorade Endurance and water. If I don’t, it causes stomach issues. Do what works for you. See ya at the race.
