We all know Jerry is basically a real life super solider, but how can he handle himself with a real version of Captain America's shield? For the next two weeks, we are putting that to the test as Jerry tests how well you could actually use his mighty shield as a defensive and offensive weapon! Can it withstand 8 rounds of .45 ACP while still protecting the user? .

How much did that cost to make a titanium shield? Could you sell it to me. Because I would buy it. Take my money!
Whatโs the soundtrack you used when you were shooting the shield?
It bugs me by how thin it is I understand that it is that thin to keep it lightweight but I wish the shield was at least a 1/2 inch or 1 inch thick because then it would stop pretty much any caliber bullet not all caliber bullets but a good majority to the point where if you were stuck in a mass shooting you'd probably survive as long as you had the shield.
I'm from down the bayou in Louisiana also. Living in Michigan, just got my first ar. Mp15 sport 2. Would love some upgrades for it.
Captain America is great but Detective Sledgehammer is better. Trust me, I know what I'm doing.
Greetings & Salutations, Jerry. Our family owes it's very existence to the mighty Colt 1911. Time: WWII: North Africa Campaign. Setting: My Dad sleeping on a GI cot in his tent.: A noise wakes him up. There is an "Ali Baba" that snuck into the camp & is raiding the tent. The Ali Baba sees Dad is awake, draws a long knife from the sheath on his back and dives on top of Dad (or tries to). Dad was quick enough to rotate his 1911 at his hip and fire up from the hip. He said the .45 stopped his attacker in mid air. The Ali Baba was dead before he landed on top of my father. But his knife still inflicted a serious wound along Dad's waist. (Mom secretly pointed out the long scar to me once when Dad was napping). There were 3 Ali Baba's killed that night in the American camp.
Without Dad's Colt & his quick reactions, his next 3 generations would not be here today in this great country!
Soooooo Dad taught me how to shoot the Colt 1911 when I was 7 years old & I have enjoyed shooting it throughout my life & it's about time to start teaching our grandkids to shoot it. This family cherishes the Colt 1911!
Sorry if this true story got a little long. This is the first time it's been shared outside the family, but I just felt it'd be a good tribute to Dad & his Colt that some others might enjoy.
Cheers Dad <Salute>!
Mike R.
(P.S. My nickname in High School was Capt America.)
