So this is a complete remake of my old “The Captain America trilogy is beautiful video essay”, so it can complete the trio of MCU videos of Endgame, Iron Man and now Cap.

Amazing video, thanks for sharing! Really liked the Captain America trilogy, he was my favourite avenger in the MCU, not for his abilities, but for his character. Your video really did an amazing job of explaining who he is. π

Thank you for this video. Truthfully, it's very touching. Cap's attitude and values are ones that make me relate to him, which is why he is my favorite superhero. It's been rough lately, to understand some things. This made me feel okay about it all.
By the way, the last song, "I'll Remember You", can you provide the artist? Thanks!
Tradere is pronounced Trad-eh-rey. Awesome video essay but just in case you're curious, latin letters are always pronounced the same way. Vowels are:
a = ah
e = eh as in bed
i = ee as in seen
o = oh
u = oo as in cook
Jesus Christ, fix your fucking voice or hire someone else who can speak English properly. Unlistenable rubbish.
Please tell me you have a Patreon. You deserve to be compensated in some way for your ability to go in depth like few video essayists do. Thanks for this leo.
No, the trilogy is a set-up for more MCU movies, it is highly flawed and has tons of inconsistencies, character, tone, story-wise just like any other MCU movies. They don't define "Cinema" but a "Roller Coaster Ride" in a theme park.
I wonder what you can make of Captain Marvel if you were to make video essay.
I so dislike that character.
These video essays rock! Keep them up! Seriously! Most people do not look at the macro picture. They look at the movies individually. Only film geeks dissect them and find out why they actually work. KUDOS! I also watched your Dark Knight trilogy essay. Very educational/inspiring/and fascinating.
Meanwhile The Russos watching this video: Yeah… Yeah we did that… intentionally.
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. I've saved it to three of my playlists: Favorites, I Love This, and Don't Lose This, because I want to re-watch it as many times as I watch the films. I was surprised how young you look at the end because of your maturity, insight, and eloquence. Thank you.
This is an incredibly well-articulated essay. Thanks. Especially relevant to me as a student of Global Studies.
This is such a beautiful and well made video of one of my favourite Marvel superheroes. It's actually funny because I was never the biggest fan of Captain America before the MCU. I always found him to be annoying. I hated his boyscout personality. I never found him interesting. He was basically just Marvel's Superman and nothing more.
That all changed when I saw Captain America The First Avenger. This film was such a perfect origin story for Cap. We saw how everything that he stood for started in this film. His friendship with Bucky. His relationship with Peggy. His devotion to his country and just his good will as a human being. The part where Steve jumps on a dummy grenade in the camp full of army buddies that pick on him for being too small and the scene of Dr Abraham Erskine's observation of him really says it all.
Cap was fine in the first Avengers film but it was really The Winter Soldier that solidified him as not only my favorite Avenger and my favorite main hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but as one of my favorite superheros of all time in general. I love how everything that he stood for in this film and in Civil War was tested. His friendship and loyalty to Bucky. His friendship and loyalty to Tony Stark/Iron Man. His loyalty to SHIELD and the Avengers. Peggy dying of old age and leaving him and then losing half of his friends to Thanos in Infinity War before bringing them all back in Endgame and finally getting the happy ending that he deserved after he had been through so much shit for so long. That is the story of Steve Rogers/Captain America folks. And to think. I used to hate the guy and I used to find him to be annoying.
This was the first video of yours I watched and I subbed right away. Cap is my favorite superhero and I love this video. You nailed it.
Itβs understandable because a lot of people make this mistake but Natzis and specifically Hitler wasnβt a nationalist. If was he wouldnβt have invaded other countries. Hitler and his natzi party was a globalist party. He wanted every country to be one natzi party under him.
Iβd ask if this sounds like something happening today… but people rarely see the point
